merge_multiple_items#

wikibaseintegrator.wbi_helpers.merge_multiple_items(item_ids, login=None, ignore_conflicts=None, is_bot=False, tags=None, **kwargs)[source]#

Merge several items into the one with the lowest numeric ID, one wbmergeitems call per merged item. Each merged item is turned into a redirect by Wikibase.

If a merge fails, the exception is raised and the merges already done are kept.

Parameters:

  • item_ids (list[str]) – The IDs of the items to merge (at least two distinct IDs).

  • login (_Login | None, default: None) – A wbi_login.Login instance

  • ignore_conflicts (list[str] | None, default: None) – List of elements of the item to ignore conflicts for. Can only contain values of “description”, “sitelink” and “statement”

  • is_bot (bool, default: False) – Mark these edits as bot.

  • tags (list[str] | None, default: None) – Change tags to apply to the revisions.

Return type:

str

Returns:

The ID of the item all the others were merged into.
