get_available_badges#

wikibaseintegrator.wbi_helpers.get_available_badges(allow_anonymous=True, **kwargs)[source]#

Get the items which can be used as badges of sitelinks (e.g. ‘Q17437796’, featured article, on Wikidata), with the wbavailablebadges API. Each Wikibase instance configures its own list of badges, which can be empty. A sitelink with another item as badge can’t be saved.

Parameters:

  • allow_anonymous (bool, default: True) – Allow anonymous interaction with the MediaWiki API. ‘True’ by default.

  • kwargs (Any) – Extra parameters for mediawiki_api_call_helper()

Return type:

list[str]

Returns:

The IDs of the badge items
