class wikibaseintegrator.wbi_editgroups.EditGroup(batch_id=None)

An EditGroups batch of a custom bot. Add the batch link to the summary of every edit of the batch:

editgroup = EditGroup()
item.write(summary=editgroup.summary('Add the population'))

The batch is then listed on https://editgroups.toolforge.org/ once the first edit is made.

Parameters:

batch_id (str | None, default: None) – The identifier of the batch, from 4 to 32 lowercase hexadecimal digits. A random one is generated by default. Reuse the same identifier to add edits to an existing batch.

summary(summary=None)

Return the edit summary with the batch link appended.

Parameters:

summary (str | None, default: None) – The edit summary. It is shortened if needed, so that the batch link is never truncated.

Return type:

str

Returns:

The edit summary to use for an edit of the batch.

property link: str

The wikilink to the batch, as EditGroups expects it in the edit summary.

property url: str

The URL of the batch on EditGroups.
